From the Alegres – Missionaries in Peru
High in the mountains of Peru, Calvary’s missionary partners, the Alegre family, are faithfully serving their community through Calvary Chapel Cajambaba and an orphanage called the Refuge of Hope. Their aging mud-brick roof could no longer withstand the torrential rains. The Alegres had to close off parts of the property due to the risk of collapse. While fasting and praying for provisions for the roof, the missionaries also needed a temporary place to hold services.
Update: The Alegres have been provided with the means to fix the roof through our Birthday Gift for Jesus. In addition, they’ve found a temporary facility to hold church services while repairs are underway. Praise God for the provisions as this ministry provides a Christ-centered place of safety, discipleship, and belonging. Between the church and the orphanage, the Alegres are helping to provide education, mentorship, and daily care.
